Prax Melancon

Prax Melancon serves as Liberty Bank's Assistant Vice President Community Development Lending Manager. Prax brings over 27 years of experience in the banking industry and 20 years of experience in affordable housing lending. She attended Southern University of New Orleans and started her career with JP Morgan & Chase, working with several local and national banks afterwards.Since 2002, she has assisted many families to become homeowners in Orleans and Jefferson Parish by purchasing their first home through the housing voucher programs. Prax moved from Panamá to the USA in the early 90's and is a mother of three. As a former Puentes New Orleans Board President, Ms. Melancon is inspired daily by her children and the community she serves.
