Jane Abshire

I began my lending career in December 1970 and have been involved in all facets of lending. I have worked exclusively with home mortgages since 1986 and have a strong passion for helping people achieve home ownership as part of the American Dream. Over the years I have been a mortgage processor, loan originator, business owner and underwriter. I am currently a member of Mortgage Bankers Association and have held numerous positions in the New Orleans Chapter of the Association of Professional Mortgage Women and served on their Board of Directors for several years. I am proud to have co-chaired the education committee to develop the state testing to become a mortgage originator and helped establish the continuing education requirements required for mortgage professionals as established by the State Office of Financial Institutions. I rejoined the Liberty Bank Mortgage team in 2015 as an underwriter and thoroughly enjoy my job. My present position is Assistant Vice President – Mortgage Operations Manager. I am the proud Mother of two children, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren who are the joy of my life and constantly fill my spare time. My hobby is traveling, reading about travel, and researching the many wonders of this world.
